Musk reactivates Trump’s Twitter account, Trump ignores

November 22, 2022: -Donald Trump said he had no attraction in producing to Twitter even as a slim majority voted in favour incited the former U.S. President, who was excluded from the social media service that incites violence, in a poll organized by recent owner Elon Musk.

Over 15 million Twitter users voted, with 51.8% voting favour reinstatement.

Trump’s Twitter account, which had more than 88 million followers before he was banned on January 8, 2021, started accumulating followers and had almost 100,000 followers by 10 pm ET Saturday.

Some users initially reported that they could not follow the reinstated account on Saturday evening. Trump had appeared less than keen. “I don’t see any reason behind it,” the former president said through the video when asked if he planned to come back to Twitter at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s leadership meeting every year.

He added that he would stick with his recent platform Truth Social, the app developed by the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) startup. He said he had better user response than Twitter and was doing “phenomenally well”.

On Tuesday, Trump launched a bid to regain the White House in 2024 that praised Musk and added that he had always liked him. But Trump also said Twitter is suffering from bots and pretend accounts and that its problems were “incredible”.

Musk initially said in May he was planning to reverse the ban on Trump, and numerous Twitter ads closely watched the timing of any comeback by Trump.

The billionaire has sought to reassure users and advertisers that like decision would be created with consideration by a content moderation council composed of people with “widely diverse viewpoints”, and zero account reinstatements would happen before the panel convened.

Musk reinstated comedian Kathy Griffin. She had been forbidden from changing her profile name to “Elon Musk”, violating his recent rule against impersonation, which indicates it was a parody account. He stated that Twitter would not reinstate any prohibited users until there was a “clear process for doing so.” there needs to be more information about the process or the moderation council.
