September 21, 2023: A new court filing reveals that Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood has been named as a cooperating witness in a Georgia election conspiracy case of Trump and his allies over their efforts to reverse his 2020 election loss in Georgia.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has filed a document asserting that certain defense lawyers in the election interference case have conflicts of interest.

Notably, she named several individuals, including Lin Wood, as witnesses for the state in this case.

Lin Wood had previously disclosed that he testified before a Georgia grand jury investigating former President Trump, and he did so under a “material witness” subpoena.

His testimony lasted approximately 90 minutes, but the details were not publicized.

This election interference case involves Trump and over a dozen associates indicted by a Georgia grand jury in

August. It stems from efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election and the promotion of false conspiracy theories related to the election.

In 2021, Lin Wood had publicly stated that his South Carolina properties hosted various conspiracy theorists who sought to overturn the election results.

Additionally, he retired from practicing law in July, potentially to avoid disbarment in Georgia.
