June 12, 2020: More than 45% of the jobs are created by the small business and the pandemic situation which started in late February had made them think on how to run the business and forced to shut their process as without the capital flow there would not be a way to take the business forward.
It was a pandemic situation first which led the small business to shut and now it is a situation to handle the loot during the protest. There are so many small restaurants and retail shops which are under the reconstruction stage due to the loss and the damage they have incurred because of the loot. As we can see all the small companies are requesting the government to help them out with the capital with low-interest rate loans etc. However, the struggle will continue with getting the loan approved and getting the business back on track.
Expert suggests it would take nearly 6-8 months to recover the situation once it is completely open. It was two major setbacks the small business are facing when we are still stuck with the COVID-19 pandemic. Many places across the United States have opened their business function but there are still places where the cases of Corona Virus are high and they would need to wait longer.
As there is no insurance for the loss and how would a retail store overcome the current situation. It is great to see people united to fight against the racism and many movie stars, sports icons, and many more supported the rally. There were owners of the small business supporting the protest while their livelihood was at stake because of the looters
