June 11, 2020: Alex resigned as the CEO of Reddit June 5th in support of the protection and stop racism across the nation. While requesting the board members to replace his place with a black American and Wednesday the board members have announced Michael Siebel as the next CEO.

He also mentioned as his board members are all whites and I would not be able to raise my voice for black life matters. He also said he wants to set an example and lead by example even if her daughter asks what is that he has done for the scenario he would want to answer it with a great move. he also pledged $1 million to Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp

Siebel was the partner of a startup Y combinatory before he was announced as CEO in 2016. Siebel addresses the people saying he is excited and is looking forward to helping Reddit with support and guidance. He was also a founder of  Justin.tv which is nor Twitch.

The company has faced various criticisms recently while they were not able to tackle the hate speech on their website. The move with a technology sound CEO would be the next good move from the company.
