Facebook CEO to meet the Civil rights leaders on Tuesday

July 3, 2020:  As the #StopHateforProfit campaign is going to the next phase and, more companies are joining hands includes the major brands like Pepsi, Starbucks, Honda, etc. The campaign against hate speech being spread all over social media has made many companies stop their campaign on Facebook. Facebook has a total of seven million companies advertising and generating revenue of 70 million is in trouble to resolve the issue. The company spokesperson did say, that they would care more about the violence and hate speech on the platform for better usage for people. Last week Zuckerberg did address the issue and said they would flag the content which is miss leading. Zuckerberg also mentioned they would be happy to meet with the civil rights team and resolve the issue at the earliest.

According to the recent update, the CEO and COO will meet the leaders of the Anti-Defamation League and the NAACP on Tuesday next week.

The major companies have paused their advertisement till the end of this month and made a statement as the advertisement will resume based on the action taken to avoid the hate speech on the platform. Even though there are less than 1000 companies joined this campaign, the company is at its toe to resolve the issue.

Facebook is the platform that helped the SMB to set up their business and publicize in a better way and, the campaign supported by many of the startups and small businesses that are forcing the company to take immediate action.
